2005-  Ambleside School of Ocala is incorporated and organized as a 501c(3) non-profit educational institution after research in education for their own children leads Ken and Shari Ausley to visit Ambleside School of Fredericksburg in Fredericksburg, Texas.  There they discover a practice of education that is inspiring, lively, sane, beautiful, peaceful, challenging, with a stunningly simple yet life-changing methodology.


2006-On the campus of First United Methodist Church in Ocala, Ambleside School opens its doors in August with just 8 students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.


2007-Year two of instruction begins with 14 students in three classrooms.


2008-Ambleside moves to a larger facility on the campus of Fort King Presbyterian Church and opens in the fall with 20 students in three classes.


2009-A permanent home is found on the campus Grace Episcopal Church.  The school doubles in size, opening with 41 students in Kindergarten through 6th grade occupying four classrooms.


2011-Still growing!
