Dave was a founding board member of Ambleside School of Ocala in 2005.  Betty joined the board a short time later.   Together, they are no small part of why Ambleside School of Ocala exists to this day!  They have a long and celebrated history here in Ocala.  Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Florida.  He served as Vice President in Community Bank’s commercial loan division.  Betty earned a bachelors in Mathematics and a Masters in education at the University of Florida.  She taught for 30 years, most of which were right here in Marion County public schools.  Upon retiring in 2011 they moved to Virginia to share farming life with their daughter & son-in-law!  They are missed in Ocala but their legacy lives on here at Ambleside.
